ORANGE JACKETS
In the afternoon, the four of us all go into the city to buy orange jackets. During our quest, we forget all about things like food and water and each one of us turns into a bunch of caterpillars. Julie turns into gray and green caterpillars, and they already have wings and a plan to take over a city. I turn into yellow caterpillars, mostly. Most of them live happy lives and some of them become food for birds, but they are poison and the birds die. Someone else turns into a glowing violet caterpillar and the lake turns into a pair of hands, outstretched, full of trout, and then the caterpillar dies.
My dad goes to Walmart and buys an orange jacket. There are not enough jackets for all of the caterpillars. One of the Walmart employees is pregnant but she hasn't told anyone yet.
